What do you think? Will it be sufficient? It is a 170g tank, 60g sump / refugium (only gets filled to approx 35-40g, the refugium will consist of dsb, liverock and chaeto, the tank will have lots of fish ranging from Tangs, Angels, Anthias, etc. and will be SPS only.
thank you,

If choosing ATB as the brand you are choosing, My preference would be to go with the ATB Medium w/ Airstar or ATB 1050 w/ Airstar. If it were a mixed reef you could get by with a small but you should have a bit more if going SPS only with lots of fish.

I contacted them a few weeks ago for my 200G with 50G sump and 20G frag. They recommended the medium or the econo 1050.

Thanks for the responses, only problem I am finding with going with the medium is that it will not fit in my skimmer area, I would have to put it where I plan on making a refugium. :/
The medium is about 1/2 too big of a foot print and there is just no way I can squeeze it in the skimmer area...
