pipefish

im thinking of adding maybe 2 pipefish in my 20L frag tank.

right now im thinking of getting the janss and banded...not sure yet

what other kind of pipefish are there? from live aquaria there is a dragon pipefish, banded, janss, and multibanded are there any more or is that it?

also are pipefish considered jumpers? because i have an open top

they will be the only fishes in the tank

I would recommend bluestripe pipefish because they stay so small. They only grow to about 3 inches max. The others get up to 8 inches. I'd recommend a small refugium to help supplement pods. It will also help if you quarantine them in a bare bottom tank, you can teach them to eat frozen foods then.

I have never heard of a pipefish jumping. It's probably not physically impossible, but it's really not likely. I wouldn't worry about it.
