in the wild, zoas can grow yards in diameter.... does anyone have a GIANT mat of zoas?

Well it isn't a matt of one type, but I did grow out this collection that was about the size of a bowling ball.
The one I'm starting on now will be about 3 feet long, but it has about a year of growing and additions to make it.

Aquatic Hamster very impressive, what are the white zoas called? i think those are the coolest looking ones in the bunch.

Nice decent sized colonies there folks. But the way this hobby has been, people frag happy and everyone and there moms having a prop tank... It'll be hard to really see polyp mats the size of greater than a foot or more. But its nice to see you folks post pics of cinder block sized colonies.

They are called bad picture zoas. They are actually quite pink, but with bad cameras and 14k Phoenix bulbs the look white.

The TOTM (Tank of the Month) for this month, on the main Reef Central page, belongs to a "huge mat of zoas" person.
In fact, his tank began to be so popular in this section, because part of his tank is a large colorful mats of multiple colored zoas.
