Just wondering if anyone has used this as LR. About to try some. Has anyone been able to get coralline? Was it easy to become live?

I started a BB tank with nothing but eco fiji and shelf rock.

It became live extremely fast. All I did was put a few cups of sand in my sump and coraline growing on my snails did the rest. I can hardly keep it off my glass.

There is absolutely no need to throw live rock in. Sand does a fine job. As you add corals that have bits of live rock connected to them you will transfer other beneficial critters that did not arrive in the sand or macro algae that you add to your sump.

I'll be buying some of their eco rock too. I'm waiting for the shelf rock to get back in stock.

I ordered 50 LBS last year for my 90 Gallon. Here's some photos for you.

And the rocks in the tank (4/6/08)...

The white rocks are the eccorox. The purple rocks were fully cured fiji from Reefermadness (before they got sold). The purple rocks were about 40 LBS that were in my 29 gallon tank for like 8 months prior.

And here's a pic from 2/15/09...

I got some of their pukani. Extremly happy with it. I seeded it with some rubble from my 24g tank and some live sand. My rock is covered in coraline that all came from the backs of snails.

The only kicker I have had is that it has taken forever to develop a decent level of pods and micro fauna. Outside of that I love the stuff.
