MP40w noise??

How much noise is normal for these pumps? Mine has been running for a few weeks now and still seems noisy. It was much noiser the first day. I aligned it so there is no rattling sound or wobbling sound but the motor itself seem noisey for example I can hear the pump in the next room is this normal??????????/

Because the VorTech is an external motor pump, you will always hear some motor noise. Some tank rooms are very quiet and particularly sensitive to this noise, and in other environments the pump cannot be heard at all.

The pump is most audible on short pulse mode and Reefcrest mode is the favorite for those who find the noise distracting.
