Just bought a red burrowing crab direct from the store. I should always do research before I buy, and I didn't. After doing some quick research after returning home, your website states that they need a place in the aquarium to emerge from the water. I can only find minimal information elsewhere. Is this critical? Will the crabs work in a normal reef aquarium setting?

Unfortunately we do not have alot of specific information about this crab, The information we have on our Website is very general information about Uca. genus crabs. I am not sure about whether or not it is critical this particular species of crab can emerge from the water or not. We keep them in a fully aquatic environment as you saw in the store, but we are also not keeping them for extended periods of time. If I can find some specific information about the Red Burrowing Crabs, I will post it, and update our Website
Thanks,
Dave

As it would turn out, this crab did not do well in my aquatic environment. What the reason was I do not know. He surcombed on day 7. Two days after the guarantee ended.
