i bought a small frag that was almost completely covered in zoanthids but i needed an unconvered section to attach it to my rocks. i pulled a group of about 3 or four off and placed them on another rock in a hole. i've now seen them in to different spots on the same rock, i guess to current is moving them. is there a safe way to attach the loose group of zoanthids to the rock so the current doesn't carry them away?

If the rock is removable, you can glue them down with "Super Glue" gel. You can also sew them down, using monofilament fishing line run between the polyps...not too tight, though. I've also seen people using something like wedding veil cloth to cover them in place for a few days. Regardless what method you choose, you just need to hold them in place long enough for them to attach themselves.

Thanks! How long does it take for them to attach?

Don't you hate that?

Ever use the accelerator on your hands after? Pretty interesting feeling!

I do admit, though, that I like pulling the glue off as long as it comes off in huge clumps! Haha.
