Ok i just got my phosphate reactor and i don't know how much phosban to add for the first time, also how slow i should set the pump at. I know it says 50g per 50 gallons. I have a 150 gallons tank, but i was reading around reefcentral and there's people saying that you can add the recommended dose but i also got that you cant? Also is it true for the first time you run phosban you have to change it out in 48 hours? That's what my LFS said to do.

The number one rule of thumb for GFO, is go slow. I would underdose always instead of overdoing it. It can strip your tank in no time or it could take a while with several doses. I would not change it so quickly, as recommended by your LFS. Go slow, monitor results, and proceed with caution.

unless its a new tank that has no livestock in it, I too would take it slow that way everything can adjust to the change in water

Just make sure you run the first few gallons into a seperate container, to get all the fine particles out. I didn't do this the first time and had a huge mess. I turned it off after I saw what was going on, but the water was cloudy brown and probably did a lot of damage to my system. I did a lot of frequent water changes after that and didn't have any problems. But I'm sure I could have.
Besides that I would also go slow. I would use less than the container says if it were me.
