not sure which forum to put this in, but does anybody know what coral this is (the one to the right of the zoanthids):

Does it have a skeletal base? Kind of looks like a type of Euphyllia to me (like frogspawn/hammer/Bubble).

yes it does have a skeletal base. it was about 5 inches long and i trimmed it down to about 2 inches.

looks like pink tipped frogspawn that is upset

does it expand out nicely? or stay bunched like in the pic?

def. a hammer or a cross b/t a hammer and frogspawn. it is a lps coral

Indeed it is a hammer coral, just keep your eye on the zoanthids... Depending on how far that hammer expands, you will want to move the zoa's so they don't get stung.

The hammer itself will like medium-high light and lower flow. If you give it too much flow, chances are it will begin to recede, and ultimately will drop all the tentacles and die off. I had that happen to my frogspawn and torch when I first got into LPS, thinking they liked higher flow.

+1 on hammer. clearly not a frogspawn.

And yes, get it far away from those zoas. Hammers are evil corals. He'll stick out a stinger tentacle if he senses any corals are nearby.
