Looks like Caulerpa sp, a proliferous macro when conditions are right. The use of mechanical removal, lowering macro nutrient levels (i.e. phosphates), introducing predators (tangs, green crabs, etc.), and/or chaeto in refugium to compete with it might help. If you search forum will find more on controlling this species.

That is grape caulerpa. The only sensible way (and easy) is to manually pull it out.
I use it in my fuge for nitrate removal...and it is edible.
I eat my grape caulerpa prunings! I'm nuts!

From properly collected or cultured sources, many algae are edible. Would not eat any from tanks that have been medicated or chemically treated in any way due to possible presence of toxic compounds like heavy metals, carcinogens, etc.
