where do you get your solenoids?

I've been looking for a couple to control kalk vs. fresh water top off. The only ones I've seen are brass or aluminum.

Why should I use the DC rather than AC?
I ask only because 120VDC was specifically recommended.
I also notice I have an option of normally open and normally closed...I assume NC is what I want?
Stu...I notice the one you recommend is 24VDC...is that correct? Shouldn't I use 12VDC max or does it even matter?

AC has more exposed metal parts.

NO vs. NC means "Normally Open" vs. "Normally Closed".
It depends on your application, but typically we need a NC ( Closed when the power goes off no matter what ).

I have a Programmable Logic Controller ( PLC ) COntrolling my RO/DI tank & it runs on 24V, so I chose the 24VDC.

You can use whatever voltage you want as long as you have a power supply at that voltage.
