ok so im not new to salt water ive had a 55 and 75 fowlr never done corals. im moving to a smaller place sold both tanks and am looking at doing a reef tank. I am looking at buying a 12 jbj nano cube for drs foster and smith (the 48w version). I want to do all soft, zoas, and mushrooms. The only live stock that im looking at is clean up crew and maybe a clown goby or 2. From what ive read it looks like this setup would work with replacing the bio balls with LR ruble, and a larger pump i have one at home thats 150 gph. im also looking for info on what suplaments and all of that so far im looking atOcean Nutrition, Nano Reef Coral Food,Nano-Reef Parts A & B (it provieds trace elements) is ther any other sugestions?

Sounds good to me....I have the Nanocube as well. I got rid of the hood and now have a MH hanging over it. The stock light with that tank is great for Softies.
Try replacing the stock pump with a MJ1200, about the most flow you can get.
I used to have a 55 too, the 12 is much easier on the pocket for some things but not all:)

I had the same NC setup for about 1 and a half years. Two clowns, snails, crabs, zoos mushrooms all did great. I used stock pump, fed fish and did water change every couple weeks.
