I have had the 250 running in 10" of water for a little while now with a lightly stocked tank. it's pulled alot of junk with the pinwheels. Last night and today it fills the collection cup with foam and water and will not stop.. the only way i can get it to stop is to pull everything but the 90 coming out of the body. Even with the wedge pipe all the way open it fills the cup less than a min running.

any help is appreciated

Did you use any epoxy in the tank to place some corals? Epoxy, and some airborne pollutants can make the skimmer go nuts. Mine was overflowing a lot when my wife was repainting the living room.

Leave the output plumbing off until enough of the pollutant has been removed so that you can use the tee and wedgepipe again.

Mine only does that when a large turbo snail that lives in the sump crawls into the output pipe:lol:

well I dunno what was in the water but i id a water change. took the skimmer apart and ran it in some saltwater with vinegar and it ran fine. did a water change and after a little freak out it seems closer to normal.

thanks
