Anyone have any experience with Ranco Temp. Controllers? I have a single stage Ranco temp controller that has worked flawlessly for the last 4-5 years. I had a power outage on my tank which sometimes causes the Controller to display an error code. Usually I just reprogram the controller and it is all set, but after this last outage I keep getting the E2 error code which means "Memory Error" on the code list inside the controller.

Does anyone know if I can reset the memory/controller on this and reprogram? Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

Here's the people to ask:

I know there is a fatal error code. . .

I bet there is a battery somewhere in there that is dead.

Thanks... calling the manufacturer is a last resort as I was hoping someone had seen this before and had a quick fix. I am not getting the fatal error code.... just the E2 Memory code. I guess I will have to ask the Ranco guys.

I am pretty sure there is not a battery in the controller... Maybe a bad sensor? Still waiting to hear back from the Ranco guys. I will let you guys know what I find out.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. I don't think this helps you, but here it is anyway:
