I found this thing on a rock today. It's about 1/2 inch long hard on top, soft and almost has a snail or sucktion cup like mouth.

That's hard on top and soft on bottom with a snail like mouth.

good, algae eater.

+1 good stuff. you won't see it often but it's good for you. they like to bury just below the substrate and clean the films/algae off the glass there.
