Recently ive been having trouble maintaining Both Calcium & Carbonate Hardness, i do 25% water changes every two weeks with Reef Crystals salt,

mixed at 75 degrees, 1.024 SG.. tested at

PH = 8.4
Calcium - 450
DKH = 12
Magnesium - 1350
Phosphate =0
Nitrate =0
Nitrite =0
Ammonia =0

my Aquarium Test's The Same except for the Calcium & DKH

Calcium stays at 360-380
DKH at 6-8

i cant get either any higher, no matter how much i buffer...im using KENT Coral Builder DKH Buffer & KENT Liquid Calcium both added at the same time, with the reccommended dose.

i checked into a Kalkwasser drip, but having to mix it everyday does not seem like an ''automatic'' approach..also, it states that a calcium reactor may still be needed along with Kalkwasser. so im lost on what to do, hopefully you guys can help me..thanks.

LegendLand,

Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend dosing more frequently with KENT Coral Builder dKH Buffer and KENT Liquid Calcium until you reach the desired level. Unfortunately, these levels are being depleted faster than the tank is receiving additional doses as corals and invertebrates use them to grow. This can happen quickly in some systems depending on the amount of corals/invertebrates you have and this needs to be adjusted according to the individual aquarium. If we can be of any further assistance please call us at 1-800-334-3699.
