i just got a new stand and canopy, my last lee mar stand and canopy didnt fare too well against water and the uv from the halides, what is a good sealer for the inside of the stand and canopy, i was thinking epoxy based paint, what have you guys used that has held up good?

I used 3 coats of a good marine varnish.

I used varnish inside where it contacts the salt directly and then a good poly on the outside for looks. Poly will hold up pretty well itself. My buddy's stand and canopy are 5+ years old and going strong and he used only poly on them, 3 or 4 coats I think he said.

I love that minwax poly clear.
Spar is another good marine clear.
Both easy.

I sprayed the hardwood on my stand and canopy with a catalyzed cabinet lacquer. Truly amazing stuff....
I have never had good (long term) results with paint inside of the canopy.
