I used chemiclean red slime remover after a bad outbreak. it worked great and after a few days of water changes my g3 started skimming normal. now the problem is that it creates tons of bubbles in my display. is this normal?

You need some sort of means to prevent the bubbles from getting from the skimmer output to the Return pump intake (assuming that your skimmer is in the sump)

[Whys]

I have heard that some things when added to a tank can cause the skimmer to behave abnormally. This would be temporary, but may or may not be your issue.
