Coralife Calcium reactor

Does anyone know what would cause this calcium reactor to keep losing it's prime? It's the coralife 500 gallon calcium reactor. In input would be greatly appreciated!

i dont know what caused it but mine does it as well.i added an aqualifter pump in the intake line between the sump and the reactor.that seemed to help where i dont have trouble with it much anymore.
