How was calcium suplemented?

After reading your March article I was curious. Is there a difference between Hobbyist A and B in how they supplement their calcium? Does the use kalkwasser or calcium reactors? This question comes after some discussion in the Reef Chemistry forum that limewater addition may help remove some heavy metals.
