The AC3 is the control. You just have to use a couple of If Temp statments to tell it at what temp you want it to turn the heater on and off. Then, just plug your heater into one of the outlets on the DC4 or DC8 that the AC3 controls.

It's still a good idea to have a back-up controller for the heater, in case something ever malfunctions on the AC3 or DC4/DC8. If you don't have a secondary control, you have nothing to keep the heater from running full blast 24 hours a day.

I don't have a heater yet, i thought that instead of buying a heater with digital control(those with the 7 segment display) just to buy the heater itself without the control and connect it to the AC3. i thought i need to use a relay... so what kind of heater do you advise me to buy? i dont have heater nor dc4/8

one more thing... if i have the breakout box expantion, can i add another breakout box/px1000 ?

You need a direct connect box to actually turn on/off the heater. I personally recommend that the heater has a thermostat as well. Just set it a couple of degrees above the AquaController controlled temperature, and if the AquaController failed for some reason the heater thermostat would be a backup.
You can plug the breakout box into each PX1000 when installed.
