Just curious as to how many people run their skimmers 24/7? I was wondering if i could have my skimmer turn off for a few hours during the night to allow for my corals to feed? I usually feed after the lights go off and the moon lights come on. This allows the corals to feed better- i think- and the fish USUALLY leave them alone. Wondering if this sounds like a good plan?

Thanks inadvance

I run my skimmer 24/7, although I know that some turn skimmers or pumps off when feeding corals at night. I think it's a two edged-sword -- it may make it easier for corals to feed, but it also reduces oxygen levels which are already low at night because there's no photosynthesis going on.
