I recently got a reefkeeper 2 from a closing down store but it seems i didn't get the power strip thing
It was used and cheap so im not going to complain but i was wondering if it is useful for anything without it?

Not really, the power strip is were the brains are. What you got is just a display and key pad, Sorry!

I own two of them plus the new Reef Keeper Elite. When you flash firmware you are flashing the power strip. I had a surge that zapped my firmware blank on one of the RK2 units. I could not start the update process to reflash it with new firmware since it was blank. I had to send the power strip in to be reprogrammed and did not need to send them the head unit.
