OK, there are enough people here that have Bluelines. It's time that we have a thread to show off our fish. There are some that have new fish that have not posted pictures yet, and myerst2 will be getting one soon.

They can be very aggressive fish, but some reside in community tanks, at least for a while. So, post some pictures, and tell us about your

My Blueline ate NLS pellets on the first day I brought him home, but has refused them ever since, although he will eat any meat coated with crushed pellets. Thanks for the suggestion, danorth. ;) He eats any raw meat, but seems to prefer shrimp. He does not like the Pintail trigger, but gets along extremely well with the Emperor, and does not pay any attention to the Green wrasse. When I picked him up, he was a little over 3", and now he is about 4", just under 1" of growth in a month.

Not as pretty yellow, more of the aggressive coloration (again from the gallery):

I got it!!! She's a beauty. It is indeed from West Africa. Spoke with the owner and he said they almost never see them available from that locale. We'll see what she looks like as a she matures. I will post pics soon. If you want to see pics now, look at my other thread. T

Here is the new guy. After Chris (Campbell) saw the pics he said that my guy has orange instead of yellow. Happy to see someone make me realize that this little guy was different. Hopefully it will stay that way. Can't wait to see the transformation. Look how tiny this guy is. Makes my Wrangler key look like the key of giants!!! T

I just love the variation in bluelines coloration. Each fish is totally unique. This thread has succeeded in making me want one :).

Eats like crazy and is constantly puffing craters in the substrate trying to unearth the nassarius snails.

Okay, barbianj, you twisted my arm. :) Thanks for starting this thread!
Here are a couple of pics of my 6-inch Sri Lankan Blueline. He went into the display tank about a week ago. I have been having a hard time getting him to eat prepared foods. He has been searching far and wide for pods (?) to eat. He would blow into the sand searching for food. There was a sandstorm in there for a few days. He has also destroyed/eaten the few Nassarius snails and hermit crabs in there. Have you guys had trouble getting your Bluelines to eat? He ate very well when I first got him and then he suddenly stopped eating the clams, krill and mysis I was feeding him in the QT. Well, I thought he must be unhappy in the QT, so I decided to move him to the DT. Now he just searches for pods all day. His disinterest in food is worrying me.

In QT:

In the DT, with some of the gang:

Nice Bluelines, everyone! Cool color variations!

Thanks. Yes, I got him around Feb 12 off of DD. I'm concerned about his recent refusal to accept any food, though. Seems to be searching for his own food in the tank.

Neat video! Thanks for sharing!

A lot of great looking fish, people! This is just what I was hoping to see. It's interesting to compare the color and pattern variations. Thank you, everyone.

LuvAngels88, I'm glad you finally showed some photos of your Blueline. He looks healthy and may just be more interested in searching for his own food than what you are offering. Maybe he's finding enough for now. They can be stubborn sometimes. How does he get along with the angels? (which are also very nice, btw)

Eklikewhoa, your fish looks very small yet, the pattern should develop more as it grows.

danorth and jmccown's Bluelines inspired me to get one, and it looks like there may be more to come:

That trigger is not "attacking a diver," it's defending her nest.

This thread is really making me consider getting one in the future. They're really beautiful, and it's wonderful to see how everyone's bluelines are different. Thanks for sharing, everyone!
