Just got an Orchid Dottyback. Any experience with these fish being jumpers? I had a Neon Dottyback that jumped out of tank before, was wandering if the Orchids have tendency to jump? It is the only fish in a 10gal & will always be the only fish in the tank.

Oh yeah,

I have them in 15g tanks with no problem jumping.

Yes, I've had one jump from a tank.

Are they known "jumpers" probably not. It really depends on what is currently established in the tank. I made the mistake of adding a new arrival into a tank of breeding ocellaris--->jumped within a few days, as the male protected its family.

I've had four ODs, great fish!. I've never "found" a jumper, but have had two go MIA. No idea what happened to them. I don't think they jumped, but they can be very skidish when new. Each one I have had has taked many months to settle in and relax. It's worth the wait! Perfect solo fish for a 10 g.

I had one for 3 years that never jumped. It was beautiful. I plan to get another when our new tank is up.
