Montipora question

I have some monti. capricorns and they grow out parralel or downward. I see many peoples grow upward. I am seeing good color and growth but are they maybe not receiving enough light to grow upward?

It could be light or waterflow. Both light and waterflow will influence growth patterns in corals.
