I purchased a Sybon refractomter on 4/08/08. It has served my purpose well, except as of lately is has started 'drifting' 2ppt every few days. I have recalibrated it with the 'Ultra-Pure' water supplied, my MaxCap RO/DI water, and a 35ppt calibration solution and it was read correctly after readjusting. Two-four days later it has drifted again to 37ppt. I store is in the supplied case in a cool, dry place and have never immersed or dropped the unit. Is there any possibility I can exchange it, as Sybon states a 1 year warranty but you must contact the dealer for details. I would like to think that I just have a fluke unit.

Thanks for your help.

It is hard to say what may be wrong with the refractometer at this point. In this situation you will need to talk to the manufacturer about warranty information.
