AC permaninately connected to LT?

I know I read something about a ground or ground loop need if the ACjr stays connected to the computer. I can't find anything on that now. What do I need to do that? I have the serial cable, but remember something about a problem if some type ground loop is not used. Can I make one?

There is an adapter on the neptune web site which "isolates" the ground between the computer and aquarium.
