I am planning on making a 75 gallon FOWLR tank after I set up my 20 gallon reef tank. Is there any type of trigger that can live in a 75 gallon by itself? Ive heard a 75 is allright for niger triggers.
Thoughts? Thanks.

maybe a Rhinecanthus trigger (like a picasso). a 75 is going to be very marginal for any trigger, though.

like a huma huma picasso?

You could also consider an undulated trigger, if you don't plan to have anything else in the tank. However, as Lisa mentioned, a 75g is marginal for any of the triggers.

Well, this tank would be dedicated to this fish (love triggers), would a huma huma picaso trigger (favorite trigger) do well for a while if purchased when smaller? Thanks.

Picasso's and Undulateds are both fairly slow growing triggers compared to Niger triggers, clown triggers, etc. You would be able to keep them in the 75 for awhile (couple years perhaps), but they will get stir crazy in a tank that short (especially Picassos which I have seen to be more of an active swimmer). A niger trigger will definitely grow much too quickly for such a small tank.
