I believe it's a Reeflo Gold dart pump that uses around 108. A beautiful skimmer. But wanted to know if these aspirating skimmers are that effiecient. If not, I'm buyiing the beckett from My Reef Creations. They make the highest quality stuff around. Blows Ae-tech and there ETSS's out of the water. Plus My Reef Creations customer service is awesome.

I have had one of the new MRC protoype skimmers for several months now. It's 30" tall with an 8" diameter body and has the Dart pump. I feed it with a Mag 2 and it's on a ~700 gallon system. It pulls almost a gallon of dark skimmate every week.

I had to reduce the amount of air allowed into the venturi for the first month during break it but after lowering the gate valve output and opening up the valve to 100%, I can have the thing at full blast.

The water level is well below the point in the cylinder that gets smaller going up to the collection cup gasket area.

I have one of the originals. It is powered by a reeflo gold. I will put up some pics when I get home.

Awesome!!! I would love to see it. Raj at My reef creations sent me a couple pics and they look hardcore built! But I am also interested in performance as well build quality.

I too am interested in this skimmer. I was looking for a Volcano but they are kinda hard to come by. Was almost settled on a Large DIY or a Modded Orca 250 for my system.

Did not see any information on their site about it yet though 8(. Those pics would be awesome 8)
