Does anyone run UV sterilizer in their tank? Does anyone recommend using one?

I was thinking about getting a corlife turbo twist for my tank to help cut down on algae blooms and also kill any parasites that might back it into my tank. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

Dont bother. It may kill algae but only algae in the water column. It will not help algae anywhere else. Plus they kill good things such as pods.

Hi Gauma
[welcome]

Many people use them but I'm a skeptic on how much good they provide. In a pet store, with multiple tanks fed from a common sump, the may prevent the spread of disease. In a home tank ,I feel their filtration rate is too low to eradicate a disease that is introduced into the tank. I think they do little to control algae but the is just my opinion.

They're good for a QT or Hospital tank.
I'll add my welcome too.
