Hi,, I saw this on ebay and just wondering if it's a decent brand,,, this is the only thing that i can afford right now and is it good for keeping zoas,,mushrooms and xenia or some other soft corals ?

EDIT: my tank is a 35 gallons hexagon,,, about 30 inch deep...

The will work for what you are wanting to keep. Though many people will tell you to not to skimp on the lighting, but you have to do what what you have.

EDIT: Since your tank is pretty deep for the light, try to keep all your corals atleast 6 to 10 inches from the bottom minimum.

With the fire chances, well....just keep an eye out and warn your family.

are they safe to keep? cause I have heard some bad experience with this light,, and I don;t want to light my house on fire.... lol

Ok at best. Most people change out the balasts for better more reliable ones.

is aquatraders a good company to buy lights from ??? is it ok to use ur credit card there ?

I would guess that your limited replies are directly related to the two companies your asking about. Both seem to have very rocky reps.

Lighting is crazy money but I don't think that light will do much for a 30" deep tank. You would be better served with a metal halide pendant type fixture or one of those clamp-on units. There are usually some for sale used here but usually you'll need new bulbs.
