im getting the jbj hqi 28g soon to move my reef from a 20 tall into and was just wondering what people have experienced with this tank and what i need to keep an eye on and how i should acclimate my corals to the brighter light. im only running a zoomed 420 atinic and 10,000k ocean sun.

Watch your tank temperature. Most of us have ended up needing a chiller. Some people add a fan to blow across the back chambers and this seems to cool the tank enough to avoid needing a chiller. You might want to drape two fiberglass window screens across the top of the tank (don't let them come into contact with the hood glass, as it gets very hot when the MH are on). Take one screen off a week and the corals should be fine.
