View Full Version : can you glue pvc with weld on #40?

I just did a couple of test joints tonight. Anyone out there used this cement to glue pvc parts together? It it's compatible then that would be a good way to repair/DIY with pvc where you can't get a good enough joint to use regular pvc cement.
#40 is awesome stuff but I have only used it on acrylic.

I used #16 to glue some pvc to acrylic to hook up some bio-taps, (fer driven an ug filter) but that was years ago, and the tank long gone, so I don't know the longevity of it.

Weld-On #40 is excellent for gluing PVC.

Thanks. Good to know. The test pieces I did last night looks great. Feels like a strong bond.
