Recently I upgraded my odyssey fixture with new ballasts, but I am still not getting the intensity I want and have a feeling that making some lumenarcs might help.

But my problem is that I have DE halides. Instead of making that big hole, do I just make a small one for the wires and place the DE socket on the flat base piece on the inside of the reflector?
