I have this blue acro frag that I cant seem to get its polyps to extend. I have it in the highest flow area of my tank probably 10" away from my power head. Why wont the polyps extend

There are many variables that could affect PE. The the following- nitrates- phosphates- flow- lighting- alcimating and much more Just read a lot and i bet you'll learn what you are doing wrong to cause no PE. Also many new acros may take a few days to adjust to show some PE PE= polyp extension

don't have direct flow on it, this could be causing issues

That could be just the problem. Even though acros need high flow.. they usually don't like to be blasted! Strong chaotic current is best but keep it out of the jet of a PH. What powerhead is it? Did you light acclimate it? Pics?

It is in the flow of a K4 directly. I had it under 150 mh in a smaller tank now it is in a 90 gallon under t5's.

a koralia 4 pointed right at any coral is to much flow. try not to make point source flow try aiming to power heads so that their flows cross making a swirling current of nutrient delivering goodness :p:rollface:
