Will different varieties of fungia and tongue corals sting each other?

I know the same species of fungia coral will not harm each other but I was wondering about the related species. I've seen orange, pink and a purple variety.

I have a jawfish tank with no rock on the floor so it is possible that these fungias will run into each other eventually as they slowly move about the tank.

i don't believe they do. My Fungia (plate) and Polyphyllia (tongue) on occasion touched each other in my tank and I've never seen one of them damaged by it...
