First off water perams are fine. Phosphates are a little high, but this has been an ongoing issue and they are finally starting to come down this week.
I have 2 spotted wrasse. One yellow tail and one red tail. I came home from work this morning and found my red tailed spotted wrasse awake and out. He's normally still hiding and asleep because my lights don't actually come on for another 3 hours or so. Anyways, I see him laying on the bottom sand bed, which is never a god sign, and looked like he had irregular breathing. Sometimes short, sometimes quick. So I grabbed my flashlight and shined the area he was in and he rolled upside down and then started swimming funny. He was bumping into the glass, then laying on the bottom again on his side, then swimming irratically and bumping into rocks and the glass. He has spurts of swimming aimlessly, but in a tight area and clumsily. This is very nerve racking. Ive only had him for about 3 weeks, and he was fine yesterday before I went to work. He was fed yesterday also, and HE DID eat! The most recent thing I added was yesterday when I added an orange tube anemone, 2 turbo snails, and 5 hermits. I don't understand it.
He is currently moved down into my SUMP. Im afraid Im going to lose him. It doesn't look good. Any help is appreciated! I want to save him!!!

The damn thing didnt even make it thru me typing this thread. Its dead. Ah Im so ****ed right now! How do things just up and die for no good reason with no warning and in no time!
I took some pictures. Does anyone see anything weird on it? Because it looks completely normal to me. Maybe around the eye looks a little weird? Both eyes look the same and have since I bought it. I just thought thats how the fish was supposed to look... Sorry the pictures aren't that pretty, plus my camera sucks!

DANG IT! That was such a beautiful fIsh! He wasn't cheap either. I swear if I lose my yellow tail too Im going to put a hole in a wall!

i have heard of whirling decease in discus and a few other fresh water fish but that is generally tight circles followed by spasms. you can read about that if you think it may be the culprit. it is contagious but i have never heard of it in salt water fish before.

This is so frustrating! The fact that I can't and won't know for sure is the worst part.

Could it have possibly been stung by one of my tube anemones? I was thinking about it, but I honestly didn't think those had enough stinging power to kill a fish, just ward them off.
