Temp Probe Cover

Hi

I am a new ACIII owner and with the help of Ken and reading here my setup so far has been going great.

The plastic cover on my temp probe came off and I was wondering if I need to get a new temperature probe because of that. I pushed it back in and right now my temperature is within 0.5 C of 5 other thermometers I have in the tank. Should I be worried about this?

You are talking about the black cap on the end without the wire? Should be fine, it's just there for protection. The actual thermocouple is embedded in some sort of epoxy behind that cap. If your temp is reading where you expect, and not floating around a lot, you are fine.

Yes its the black cap. The probe itself is doing good.
