I was wondering if the 6105 comes with a controll or if it's something sold seperately. Also am I understanding this pump has variable speeds?

No it does not come with the controller. There are two different controllers that are sold separately that you can choose from, the 7095 and the soon the be released 7096.

If you run the pump with out the controller, there is an adjustment knob that will allow you to adjust the flow.

Thank you for your help. How convenient are the controlles? Do they just do the feeding modes , and go through variations of water movement? I'm new to the tunze so I appretiate the help. It's kinda confusing to me

Well I have the 7095 and love it. It offers all sorts of useful option as well as visual confirmation of what you selected. I personally think it is essential.

I find the the 7095 to be about as straight forward and easy to use as they come. Plenty of flow patterns and the speeds of the pumps and timings of them are adjustable. As well as a night mode to slow the pumps via the light sensor.

If you plan to only go with one pump a 7091 controller will giving you the ability to speed up and slow down the pump as well as set the time between the ramping of speed. you can also add the photocell to calm the pump like the 7095 does
