Ok so i have my tank about 3/4 full with a heater and powerhead circ water until i get some more made. So i have this question. Should i go with a dsb in my fuge section since i have a shallow bed in my tank, or is it really that beneficial?Or should i just put some rubble in there and give the chaeto all the room it needs to grow?

I don't think a DSB is a good idea (at all), especially in a fuge. Even if you believe in the DSB methodology (I don't) you're not going to get the 'benefit' from such a small surface area DSB, and you're taking up valuable space that can be used for chaeto, liverock, etc. Further, the sand will just be a nutrient sink, especially at that small amount.
