Maximum Tank Thickness: 3/8??? Worthless.... At least Tunze makes their nano stuff hold on to 3/4".

BreadmanMike, I saw these in person on Saturday at MAX. They had a great wave effect going in a small nano tank, just like the larger models.

OT- Like your avatar. I went to high school with the guy on the far left. :D

For real? Did you hang with him?

Yeah ! He replaced me in my friend's garage band in high school. LOL He was a better guitar player than me (still is). Got to hang with the band a few times after concerts. Though it been about 10 years. :( LOL They're all still very cool. Haven't met the new bass player yet. Maybe soon.

Sorry I took this thread OT !

Back on topic,

Andy-
I'm sure the pumps work great. My problem is they only stick to 3/8" thick tanks. Why not make them a little more versatile? It would be smart of them to make an option to upgrade the magnet.

I agree. Why not have a stronger magnet with a spacer like the 40 amd 20. At $195 each, I think that should have been standard equipment !

I too saw one at Max and at this new price point and the 1600 gph flow, I will get one. I think if you need more than 3/8" thickness, you should probably be using the larger model anyways. I will be replacing my Koralia Magnum 5. This unit is about 1/6 the size and it has more options since it has its own controller. The price point will will make a dent into Koralias business as it is just $60 more than the Magnum 5.
