Hi,

I got a Pinpoint pH monitor this past Christmas. It seemed to work fine until last month. Now it seems to always read somewhere between 1.5 - 2.5. If I calibrate it, and pop it back in the tank, it reads the same.

The probe is always submerged but I don't keep the monitor powered on all the time.

I clean the probe with a tooth brush weekly. Looks OK and not cracked or anything.

I thought probes should last about a year?

Thanks,

Andy

If it calibrates properly, there might be some electrical interference. You could try measuring the pH of a cup of tank water well away from the tank.

That was it. Good call. Thanks. It makes sense now that I think about it. About a month ago I replaced my tar coil ballasts with electronic ones.

You're welcome! Electrical interference is fairly common.
