Cleaning Aqua C Remora

Greetings All- At what point do you usually clean the waste tube for your aqua c remora? how much of the waste do you usually clean out of the tube?

I am concerned that if I completely clean the tube out, then the system will need to 'recreate' that slimy lining for the foam to come up.

I cleaned the whole collection cup, tube and all when I had mine. If it gets too much buildup on the tube it supposedly lowers its efficiency. I cleaned mine every few days or whenever needed

like any aquac it takes an hour or two to get back skimming after cleaning, no big deal really
