I was giving a large skimmer and its about 10 -13 yrs old. Its about 3 foot tall and 3 inches diameter and its driving by air pump with a air stone.

My question is what size of air pump should I get, I have talked to several people and everyone is on unsure?

I'm setting up a 120 gal along with 20 and 50 gal tank that the skimmer would be for.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

forget the airstones, they clog too easy......mod it for a needlewheel pump...3.25 is kinda skinny...not that it wont work, but i would not rely on it to keep my reef in top shape...if you do stay with the airstone gig..i would get rena glass/ceramic airstones that can be cleaned..and for a skimmer so tall i would go with a dual piston pump...kinda noisy but should be able to handle the pressure .....
