I'm curious how often everyone feeds the more difficult anthia species each day and how long they've had them. I'm inquiring about species that typically need multiple feeding's per day.

So, I'm not inquiring about lyretails, bartlett's, etc. I'm referring more to ventralis, evansi, tuka's, etc.

Please include the following:

1. species
2. what you fed
3. how often
4. if you have a refugium

I'm also assuming they've already been acclimated and eating.

Thanks! Oh, if you want to post pics, I won't object to that, either!

hey thanks!

this was a very good thread. I'm sure someone else has built one of those autofeeders. I'm actually planning on keeping ventralis anthias as I'll only have them, plus some yasha's and my docile percs.

We'll see.

I saw some very nice ventralis in the azooxanthellae tank at the Long Beach Aquarium. They looked great in a dedicated tank like that.

Glad you liked it!

Here's the auto feeder again:

This is before I added a fill line that's teed off the return pump.

I use these to feed P. ventralis, randalli, dispar, ignitus, lori, tuka, and S. latus. Chromis, firefish, and tilefish get big and fat with them too. :)
