i have a question about the optimal water height with this skimmer unfortunately i have limited room under the stand of my new 330 gallon tank and this skimmer fits the bill very well. the problem is the height of the stand is only 27" tall and the height of the water in the sump is about 14". will the skimmer work in a 14" water level? please let me know. also if you can think of any other in sump skimmers what would work i need one that will fit into a 9 1/2" opening i have between the top of the stand and the top of the sump. please let me know. thanks

Won't work in that much water. I have mine sitting in 5" of water and it works great.

Hi FishGuy5 I ened up getting the KZM revolution on the advice of Jeremy from Premium Aquatics for 2 reasons the first it was the only one I couldslip into the sump and second was the water height. I was skeptical also but Jeremy said it would work. I actually just got the tank started today and it looks like it is going to work ,just waiting for it to break in. It already started to foam and the level seems to be okay. I'll keep you informed how it works. Thanks Mark

Keep me posted. I too thought that it would work in higher level of water, but I kept flooding the skimmer. In was in about 10 inches of water. At the currrent water height, it seems to be doing well. It does pullout some nasty stuff. are you going to use the upgraded white beckett injector?
