My new hammerhead pump has a annoying high pitch sound in the background, it's very distracting. I moved the 'slinger' to the middle of the shaft but that's not it. The manual says it can take 48 hours for the grease to wear into the bearings. Is this true or should I start being concerned?
(long time since I bought a new pump, the one downstairs is a barracuda and does not do this)
