I am picking up a used 220G this weekend to use for a refugium on my 450G and want to clean it well prior to adding new aragonite for 7" DSB and 250# of LR (eventual Chaeto under MH lighting). Wondering what I should use to clean tank: white vinegar, other? Thanks, Steve.

Bleach. unless the tank was yours prior, you never know what was in it before.....
Scrub with bleach, and rinse well. Done

That is what I use on all sorts of aquarium related things: tanks, powerheads, pumps.

A strong vinegar solution works very well.

Bleach, a scrubber pad, and a hose.
Let dry completly and call it good :)
