what you put in BB Solana 2nd chamber

I am running Solana with bare bottom, I was told not to use microalgae in BB tank to prevent phosphate leaking back. What I else I can use in 2nd chamber?

Most, including my LFS display, I have seen run LR crumbles. I use my Cardiff (Solana little brother) center chamber to locate my reactor pumps and Kalk ATO high flow chamber.

how big are the crumbles? will it create a debris collection problem?

Lastduke, I am doing the same thing. If you are interested in LR rubble for that 2nd chamber, do some research on a product called Seachem Matrix. They are rocks that are very porous and act 1000x better then LR due to their inherent properties. I may just place the matrix in bag and every month just give it a good shake to get ride of detritus buildup.

Thanks for recommendation, I will do more research on this product, I have seen it in Petsmart, I though it is for freshwater tank.
